Community Servings
Day of Service
Since their founding in 1990,
Community Servings has
provided more than 13 million
medically tailored meals
(MTMs) to our clients across
Massachusetts who are living
with severe critical and chronic
illnesses such as HIV, cancer,
diabetes, and kidney disease.
Their mission is to actively
engage the community to
provide medically tailored, nutritious, scratch-made meals to
chronically and critically ill individuals and their families. They are
committed to prioritizing racial and economic justice and health
equity in all of their practices.
Bergmeyer shares the vision of a world in which everyone has access to
the nutritious food they need for health and well-being as a fundamental
right. In 2024, Bergmeyer held a volunteer Day of Service at Community
Servings’ newly renovated Mans昀椀eld facility, which was designed by our
Boston o昀케ce. Dozens of Bergies used all or part of the annual 8 hours
of Paid Time O昀昀 for this event, packing hundreds of meals and sorting
enormous quantities of donated food items.
